Defender Overlanding, wild camps, and adventure travel across the UK and Europe.

Following the journey of a Land Rover Defender exploring remote places, building practical camp setups, and planning long-distance trips.

Hi, I’m Tim — and like a lot of things worth doing in life, this all started by accident.

When I bought my Land Rover Defender, I didn’t plan on it changing the way I travel. But that’s exactly what happened. One thing led to another, and I found myself pulled into the world of overlanding — a community of people who believe the journey is just as important as the destination, and that the best places are rarely found at the end of a runway.

Overlanding Wolf was born from that discovery. It’s where I document my adventures, share what I’ve learned, and hopefully inspire others to think differently about how they explore.

Based in the UK, I’ve covered most of these islands from behind the wheel — from remote Scottish highlands to quiet coastal tracks that most people drive straight past. I’ve taken the Defender further afield too, driving from England through to Sweden and Norway, where the roads thin out and the landscapes do the talking. Next up is Spain in 2026, heading out by ferry and seeing where the route takes me.

At its heart, Overlanding Wolf is about a simple idea — that travel doesn’t have to mean being deposited somewhere by a plane and handed a map. With the right vehicle and a bit of curiosity, the whole of Europe becomes your back garden. No terminals, no transfers. Just the road.

Whether you’re deep into the Defender world, thinking about your first off-road trip, or just here for the landscapes — welcome. There’s plenty more to come.
